Problematic pinch valves ❓
An iron ore mine in Australia was utilizing pinch valves to modulate the underflow discharge on their hydrocyclones. Due to the highly abrasive nature of this service, the maintenance crew were scheduled to replace all pinch valve sleeves on a weekly basis. The costs associated with labor, spare parts and downtime were significant.
Upon retrofitting their hydrocyclones with SlurryFlo control valves, the site enjoyed immediate returns on their investment. The new valves provide a quantum leap in service life and performance, remaining in service >50x longer than the pinch valves.
What was once a series of weekly repair is now an annual SlurryFlo trim swap 👌
